Digital Analog Memories
A collection of digital collages using found media from discarded floppy disks. Each of the files were laid out on a Windows 98 desktop with a color theme that would suit the subject matter.
Abstract
This was an exploration on curation methods for digital media files from private individuals. It calls into question the validity of sharing personal information for historical purposes. It also questions what aspect of personal information should be censored when presenting these pieces to the public. The files used in this collection came from discarded storage devices found in the San Francisco, Bay Area.
